Someone said he boasted about owning 0.5% of the company and you've just said his average is $0.50 so by my calculations...
86,200,000 / 200
= 431000 shares / $0.50
= -$215,500
But he did say he lost closer to $1M so maybe he owned more shares than that or his average was closer to $1.50... poor bugger
