    You are right, it would be easy to produce a generic QFT. In fact I believe there are already some emerging in China. However, I think the Cellestis IP would block these sorts of tests in other parts of the world. For instance Cellestis has exclusive rights for use in ELISA to the TB antigens from Statum Serum Institute. These give the test its specificity and without this you do not have a test so as long as the royalties are paid there cannot be another ELISA IGRA.
