Ozwire, I think you have described the case of a hostile takeover wrt compulsory acquisition after 90% ownership. I think a friendly takeover, such as this one, is different in that at some stage in the process after the vote and the second court hearing all the unowned shares transfer to the acquirer and then we get a chq in the mail... So make sure your address is upto date on the share register..
