Consider this. Remember how posters were puzzled how the SP for some time was stuck at 85c and we find it was probably Platinum. Could it be that WHC/Platinum have colluded to keep both the buy and sell price at the 85c level. This would have the effect of making the premium on the $1 bid price seem more attractive than what it would otherwise have been? Tony Haggerty was keen to point out the premium to closing SP on Friday. Also consider in bidding for the shares of CWK they would pick up cash of $16m (at last report) worth about 10c per share. So at the very minimum another 10c should be able to be negotiated.
