If Gaz de France want Hardman's share of Flamant (assuming its got gas) then I can't see why they would takeover Hardman. Much simpler to buy out Hardman's interst in that well/block than have to deal with a hostile takeover and then work out what to do with Uganda, Guyane etc.
Given that the production leadtime is 7-8 yrs and Capex requirements will be huge for a gas facility, I'm sure Hardman would seriously consider selling. After all, they've done it before with the sale to BG Group in 2004
Anyway - lets wait and see if there's anything to sell. Should know one way or t'other today
