The big risk in taking this package is that the Shares may be worth Zero if things don't progress.
On the other hand it is good for Shareholders as it is in theory a performance based package. If the company performs SP goes up and there is a financial benefit to GC and all shareholders..

The $300k & $600k is what he has to pay to exercise them. His benefit will be whatever the shares are worth less his exercise cost.

There was a 3b in mid Feb this year issuing 100 mill shares - "senior exec pay deal" or words to that effect but no change of directors interest notice seems to have been submitted for these.
