All of this evidence makes one wonder when Macquarie will push the button. Sure, the litigation risk is still there, FUM are falling and earnings are temporarily falling but all this is surely manageable by the suitor especially since the election risk and the RC report risks are now known. Hard to believe The Australian newspaper just made up the rumour late last year. I feel Something in the way of corporate activity will happen, we just don’t know when. They must be talking eh!!??
