I'm sure the attribution of costs of exploration for development of Kalkaroo will be allowed on sale of it. I mean selling it turns it from an exploration asset that might be developed i.e. one with a a contingent cap gain into one that is crystallised. That's certainly the same logic with options, and as I understand the way past un-expensed exploration costs are brought to book with mineral companies.
However, I don't think the sale will be finalised till OZL exercise the option to purchase in 18 months and any benefit for high Cu price till that hurdle is met.
Further there will be no point retaining franking credits when paying out a dividend so to the extent they have to pay tax I and pay a dividend I think they will rebate it as franking credits. I'm not sure how much they will pay as a dividend though because they will retain funds to develop Mootaroo and you know who they like to dill and drill and drill.
