You know, Mission, i had an incling(?) from the very beginning that the motive for this whole merger was simply for the company to be taken over by a bigger rival for a premium.
Hence, replacing CEO with one that has experience negotiating takeover offers from larger companies and all the retoric spun since the idea was putforward- "the combined entioty will be prime takeover target for larger rival etc". Didnt sit right with me. I know why you would say that occasionally however, it occured far too often it seemed.
I dont however, believe they would have seen the massive slide in price. I reckon they would have been predicting a swift takeover for 6-8 dollars with the hope of a bidding war.
Just a suspision i guess. As we all know management are to be trusted 100% and they would not decieve holders in such a manner, yeh?
