I think you can add to that the flawed assumption that retailers can't maintain a permanent working capital deficit. It is common practice for retailers to use creditors to fund their business - just look at Woolworths who maintain a deficit of $1.5-2 billion. Speciality have been slack in the past but are now working to get it right, which means less bank debt.
