I was watching the depth on wednesday at the time the large trades went through and it wasn't small investors who bought the shares. It looked orchestrated to me and someone snapped up 2 or 3 very large orders of over 1 million shares each time. In fact the large orders appeared on the buy side first and the seller sold into them. So I think talbot's shares have all gone to one entity, who ever that might be.
