he's definately a smart investor and theres nothing wrong in following the smart money.
Wether its TATA or someone else we may well see Talbot offload his holdings to a giant in the longer term. Not a bad strategy if you have the cashola, as you say buy into an array of required commodities (through stock holdings) and then offload all at a potential premium off-market.
Ofcourse its just speculation and he would have many opportunities ahead of him.
