The GFC was 2008 and before that everyone was saying we'd go electric cars by 2015 then it was pushed back to 2020 5 years ago.
Reality sets in and total electric car sales world wide is only 1% of the market.

The UK is saying they'll drop petrol cars by 2030. That is still 10 years away.
Other countries are saying by 2050 which is another 30 years away.

The world still not go back to pre GFC levels and then the pandemic came along at the wrong time.
The corona virus has pushed all plans back I'd say 20 years maybe longer.

Latest data states Australians are saving more now than at any other time in our history as they are worried about their jobs.
Its the same all over the world.

Governments have been spending trillions to keep their economies in some sort of shape and
at some future point another big crash will happen due to all this debt.

After the pandemic they'll have to get people working again and that is where government money will go.

The US/Europe are in a terrible state of affairs with daily cases and daily deaths.
Peoples loved ones and partners will have died and far less money coming in.
US over 60m people have lost their work. That is how bad it is there. Europe is much the same.
India in a shambles too.

It would be nice to think that governments would all go green but vested interests and political donations from big coal and oil
is the reality and that is why everything always gets pushed back years.

Look at either federal ALP or Federal Libs they have no plans what so ever on green power. Its all gas and coal.

TLG will make their money from battery walls for those that have solar roof tops and batteries for mobile phones and the like
but its years away from electric cars dominating which may never happen. Smaller countries can go electric but larger countries
can never go that way due to the vast distances between the states.

US doesn't need Feds to lead. The states, such as California, will push ahead with EVs irrespective of what the Feds do. They are true believers in climate change.
Also Europe is mandating clean tech for vehicles.
Even BoJo is on the same hymn sheet.
