Someone here recently made the point that they thought the supreme court takes a long time to make a decision in an appeal case because it gives the impression to all sides that the arguments have been carefully considered, not rushed. I'm just wondering if this legalistic approach is actually playing into the hands of the people wishing to submit appeals with the sole objective of slowing down projects and causing as much delay as possible. If the decision making was quicker, we'd probably see a big reduction in appeals. I doubt that the sami will be much concerned knowing their appeal was properly appraised, their thoughts will be the 3-4 months of added delay.
all imho, dyor
