I also was thinking initially it's just cause of the name lithium ion battery.
But when I see headlines like Rio Tinto commits $2.4 billion to develop Jadar lithium-boron underground mine & process plant in Serbia.
BHP joins Rio in keeping close watch on lithium. It makes me wonder.
Hope graphite can also get noticed by the big mining players soon!!! Maybe they only waking up to the EV boom now. Seems a bit late if you consider it takes about 10 years to get a mine up and running.
