The standard process uses HF acid and gives about 50% yield after shaping. TLG process looks like a roast, acid leach and concentrate morphology/binder affect to give greater than 80% yield. I cant find a reference to suggest anyone selling anode products on the market gives these results. The marketing risk and questions remain until real offtakes or conditional finance for product type agreements are signed.
They reference standard equipment but continually reference proprietary process during piloting. Remember if TLG were doing exactly the same as the Chinese then we could have bypassed a few years in Germany working on piloting and R&D. Maybe that was a complete waste if all TLG had to do was buy off the shelf standard equipment.
