    Hi claus72

In your original request you were asking for a "2022 fast mover"... to reframe that question, what you are actually looking for is an under-appreciated stock which will enjoy a sentiment change in coming months.

You mention HRZ.... Back in 2017/18 I dabbled in MRP which held the Boorara gold project and took a meaningful position because I judged it was a value play. Eventually I sold and moved on... because despite the value the market didn't care. Later MRP merged with Intermin and it became HRZ.... with still very little interest coming from the market. There are a lot of stocks on the ASX like this... value but they do not enjoy a positive sentiment.

For a stock to become a "fast mover" some sort of excitement has to be generated. The twitter brigade find tiny tiddlers and P&D them... these are stocks with nothing actually going for them but they are semi-liquid and can be easily manipulated.

But... there is another category. The stock which contains excellent value but which is low profile.

A stock share price is moved by the 'marginal' buyer/seller. 95% of the free float is mostly passively held.... it is the 5% of short term holders who actually dictate the price movements and establish the trends. So... when you are looking for a "fast mover" what you are really on the look out for is which stocks have the potential to attract that 5% of short term interest which will sustain an increased positive sentiment.

The necessary ingredients are... a stock which has a large asset base which is undervalued, a competent forward looking management which is carrying out a defined business plan and executing that plan successfully and lastly at least one catalyzing event which can be 'newsworthy' which will bring the stock to the attention of a wide audience. Positive sentiment results... people buy... the price goes up... and the stock enjoys a new valuation.

ASM has been a classic example of this process. Currently the sentiment factor is missing but, I think, a fair reading of the fundamentals show it still fulfills the 2 important criteria to become a fast mover. All we are waiting for is that 'newsworthy' factor.

As for other stocks which can perform well... there will always be several candidates at any particular time. Finding them is always the hard part. The general characteristics of a genuine prospect is it will be a big project, the management will be highly competent and highly credible and the core offering of the company will be addressing a real commercial need.
