I agree there are tax loop holes and I was paid a lot of money to use them to benefit my clients

However, you still seem to have missed the point I was trying to make

I was agreeing that there should be a limit on the concessions that SMSFs should receive

It is obscene that SMSFs should receive tax benefits on balances that run into tens of millions of dollars

Yes, there is the letter of the law and also the spirit of the law

I still believe in minimising one's tax where possible - but think the SMSF concessions are too generous and are simply a wealth preservation vehicle

I think we generally agree
