If/when Gillard is knee-capped, does it really matter who replaces her?

The polls suggest the next election - which is likely to be sooner rather than later - will be a bigger landslide than the 1975 election that buried Labor.

PS: to speculate on a new leader, you have to at least restrict yourself to those likely to survive the rout. That rules out anyone in Qld, and most in WA. That rules out Smith.

Shame on Gillard and Rudd for trashing a once great party.
