Sounds like the same reason why Holden chose not to buy robots to assemble their cars. They proudly showed their invention to Mr Honda: look, we make these special hinges - their holes are elliptical. This means after we fit the door we can wiggle the door before tightening the screws so that the doors fit just right. Can your robot do that?
And Mr Honda replied : very clever - very interesting. No, our robots can't do that. We prefer to drill the holes in the right place.
Sounds like the same reason why Holden chose not to buy robots...
