    Subprime market debacle has very limited effect on potash demand as opposed to copper, iron ore, nickel, aluminium etc. People still need to eat three times a day. 70 million new people added to the planet each year. Farmers making more money means more to be spent on fertilizing for a best possible scenario yield ... if fertilizer demand drops then you can almost certainly guarantee that something very very bad has happened in the world.
