I had a look at the zoning, its a mix of Rural Residential and Agricultural Resource.

I suppose it doesn't mean that exploration and extraction cannot happen, but it doesn't look like a supported activity by the local shire. Not sure the locals would be happy with a gas pipeline running into the area and trucks taking loads of condensate out via the roads either.
