    Slight problem with that logic. Taxing any product used by one sex is not discrimination. Discrimination would be taxing women at the counter differently than a man for the exact product. Taxing all products equally, and therefor all spending equally, is not discriminatory. In fact, not taxing any product just because women are the sole consumer of that particular product would be special treatment and that would be discrimination. Well, it used to be called discrimination until the Equal Opportunity advocates give it the Orwellian title of Positive Discrimination (yes, that is a government defined term).

    Women consume more makeup products than men, in fact, in most categories of beauty products, women are overwhelmingly the dominant consumer. There is not much demand for male lipstick. Should women be exempted from those taxes?

    Men are the overwhelming consumer of business suits and ties. Will those be tax free because of the gender distribution? No, of course not.

    Men buy more work utes. I demand those be tax free too!
