Tototy, wondered the same myself a few weeks back then remember reading somewhere on Lynas facebook that the discharge water does carry a small amount of Th, slightly above background, but well within permissible levels. I'm certainly no expert but I imagine recycling thru the LAMP may add further concentrations and therefore a no no.

One area where I must agree with criticism of Lynas is the lack of info regarding some of the safeguards built into the plant. Many of us here have spent countless hours researching the company and we are not fully aware so how is the average Malaysian get to find out?

Was rather reassuring to read the comments of one of the international experts regarding the sophistication of the Gas Scrubber and how it alone was comparable in cost to a smaller RE plant. Can only imagine Lynas has taken the same care with the waste water treatment.
