lakebed cotten and horticultural producer, Tandou,has accumulated so much water that it is confidently selling crops it won't harvest until 2013.
According to tandou managing director Guy Kingwill that they will preparing to plant 6500 Hectare in upcoming planting season-up from 4000ha this year.
After one of the wettest season the company has witness they only used just half of the 50 gigalitres of water stored.
Tandou will start harvesting its present cotten crop this week and it expect it will open eyes of many.
Tandou, looking to capitalise from its increased water availability and rising price for soft commodities it plans to shift to ceral crops this winter.
