    Hopefully they find something decent!!

Multi-commodity explorer Tanga Resources has kicked off the maiden drilling campaign at its exciting Hagenhof copper project in Namibia, where it has identified numerous copper-cobalt and gold targets over significant strike lengths.

First stop is the historical Main Gossan target, where drilling back in 1972 was reported to have intersected copper and cobalt mineralisation over a prominent ground magnetic anomaly.

The 3,000-metre program of RC and diamond drilling will also test a distinctive circular magnetic feature at Liv’s Hill, about 7.5km to the east, where recent rock chip surface sampling generated assays of up to 5.75% copper, 0.19% cobalt and 0.6 grams per tonne gold.

Management said that the circular appearance of the magnetics at Liv’s Hill might represent a large structural, sedimentary domal feature, which is in line with the so-called “Katangan-style” stratabound primary copper mineralisation, it is seeking in this well-endowed part of southern Africa.

The Katangan stratiform geological sequences contain numerous world-class accumulations of copper, gold and sometimes cobalt in nearby Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

After Liv’s Hill, the rig will then move on to drill surface copper mineralisation already outlined by Tanga at the Jette’s Hill, Copper Cap and new P5 target, none of which have been drilled in the past.

P5 was only identified last month and contained high-grade copper and cobalt mineralisation, just 4km south of the Main Gossan target.

The target returned assays of 5.7% copper and 250 parts per million, or “ppb”, cobalt in rock chips from visible secondary copper mineralisation in quartz-laden gossan breccias, hosted by prospective looking geological fold structures.

According to the company, the veined gossans are several hundred metres long and one to two metres wide at the P5 target.

Exciting times indeed for Tanga, as it finally gets its teeth stuck into the 1,700 square kilometres of very prospective ground holdings it controls in this region of Namibia.
