I am 99.9% certain that won't work, and if it did work it would be pure fluke.
Because, for it to work assumes that there would be sellers at the lower price when you tried to buy your shares back, and there's no guarantee that would be the case.
Far better to derive a valuation for the business and buy below the stock below your assessed valuation.
