Just a thought too. Perhaps, as Hoges suggested a week or so ago, there is something of significance to come out yet about Northcote.

When I was glancing back over announcements about the proposed merger of Republic and Luzon late 2006 -early 2007 I noticed there was a statement about the way the companies would be merged and who would own what.

One of the projects that Republic was going to keep firmly in its grasp was Northcote. Now that may have been just a coincidence of the way the carve up was to be achieved but it could indicate that RAU did not want to let any portin of that project get out of its grasp even in the "merged " entity.

As I say just a thought to go on with.
