Sydney - Friday - June 30: (RWE Australian Business News) -
Tantalum Australia NL (ASX code: TAA) has continued its program to
explore for uranium on its tenements in the Gascoyne District of WA,
centred about 70km northeast of Gascoyne Junction.
A contract was recently awarded for a detailed airborne survey
of more than 4000 line-kilometres of radiometry and magnetometry.
Two samples, already in the possession of the company and taken
from the company's previous rare metal operation at Arthur River in
2003, were recently assayed and revealed "exceptional" levels of uranium
(6.66% and 0.20%) and also rare earth elements.
Directors said the highly anomalous nature of the assays
supported the company's decision to continue its exploration and as a
result, a systematic geological mapping and surface sampling program
would be carried out in the near future.
