I feel like Tanya is the driver of the Hird camp. Without her influence, I wonder whether James would have just admitted his mistakes, copped his punishment along with the players and medical staff, and got on with things. When they turn up at court she looks like she's in her element, not just because she's a lawyer, but it appears like she relishes the fight and the publicity. James on the other hand looks to be a bit over.

Maybe they are both happy to take up the fight. As far as I can see they have done Essendon players and fans a great disservice. Wouldn't it all be over and done with if they had acquiesced soon after it hit the news years ago?
Of course I don't know all the details, but that's my 2c.
