“All companies and individuals who were exporting concentrates and mineral ores to foreign countries for beneficiation, including processing, smelting or refining, will immediately stop, and start doing such activities within the country,” the Ministry noted.

It added that the government of Tanzania would provide any necessary support to stakeholders involved in mineral beneficiation activities within the country, particularly the smelting and refining of minerals.

So far it is gold, copper, nickel and silver concentrates and ores on the list of banned exports.

Not final product like briquettes, bars etc.

KNL have the right idea about building downstream processing battery grade facility.

Tanzania are dead broke.  The 'Bulldozer' coming after foreign companies now.  Zambia did something similar in 2010 when they introduced a windfall tax.  FDI plunged, companies wound back mine production significantly.  They unwound it in 2012 and now Zambia mining sector is re-energizing.

See where this goes and whether Tanzanian 'Bulldozer' expands his directive. Chinese not going to like this.  They are the main exporters.
