Its great news semi, the tide is turning. It seems Magufili now realises 16% of all the mining investment sounded like a brilliant idea at the time but it may turn into 16% of nothing as companies pull out of the country.
By offering tax breaks as Magnus received it might level the ledger a bit so both country and company can win out of the deal. Hopefully this is the delay in issuing licences.
As croc has pointed out many a time the metrics of WKT will be fine either way but not every Tanzanian start up can say this.
It really can't be long, I cant imagine what damage the halt on issuing mining licences is doing to the country. It was very poorly introduced.
