Yes, KfW IPEX-Bank also adhere to Equator Priciples independently of German Govt. as not all their loan book covered by UFKs. There isn't much daylight between them in terms of debt requirements.

See fellow Tanz. graphite juniors GPX, WKT attending 121 Mining Investment in Capetown tomorrow competing for access to high yield loans. GPX announced expensive US$40m @15% senior secured notes from Castlelake in Oct 2018 but they remain uncommitted. WKT treading similar path with US$40m senior debt through Pareto announced Oct 2019. WKT interest rates undisclosed so far though Pareto's A$50m loan notes to Image Resources for WA project in 2018 set at @14%, so expect Tanz debt will be expensive if acheived.

Majority of sales for GPX & WKT targeting mainland China so be interesting to see if new investment climate in Tanz. attracts any further support. Phil Hoskins, CEO of Graphex talking to Alan Kohler over the weekend on merits of Chinese 'offtakes':
"there’s a number of companies that have signed what they’ve termed, ‘binding offtake agreements’, with say a Chinese end-user. We’ve been pretty strong in our belief that these aren’t proper binding agreements and nor are they enforceable. The main reason behind that is the price clause. The price clause in these agreements basically says market price and given there is no market price, there’s no way these contracts are enforceable." (full article on GPX threads)

Pareto so far failed to close out WKT senior secured US$40m notes in middle of sovereign risk crisis, whereas GPX's finance lawyers were looking for written assurances on Tanz. legislation issues. Seems in addition to sovereign risk, Chinese sales incur more market risk and consequently demand much higher yields. Few concerns in that department with KfW IPEX as their relationship with our German offtakers is longstanding, and in large part, the very reason ERG receiving the funding in the first place.
