while a tremendous resource, and the reason I invested in Magnis many years ago, the economic environment and regulatory uncertainty is definitely a hindrance to any progression there.
there is definitely a future there, though legislation and export restrictions need to be reviewed. At least MNS has the SEZ which is really a game changer as far as Tanzania is concerned, but still another of uncertainty.
Magafuli's entry to power was quite impressive with his swift and powerful attack on corruption, though he definitely does not provide stability and definitely seemed to go hard with his "bulld9zer" nickname...quite a bit too far.
It will be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of years, but they really need to think strategically (as the article also suggests) if they wish to encourage development and investment in the country.
Focus on NY for now IMO
