Quite simple: In Kenya (12B), Tullow is the operator. We work to their schedule and planning.
In Tanzania, we are the operator, Otto Energy has to work to our schedule.
In Kenya (12B), need to consider that Tullow successfully negotiated down our Seismic requirement, from memory down from 700km to 250 or 300 kms.
This will save us a lot of money.
Tullow also has BEST information on formation targets due to the successes just north (Ngamia & Twiga, Ekuto and Ekales), which has probably helped narrow down the potential targets for seismic. Being the original plan was around 700kms, I would guess some rejigging of the plan is/was necessary.
If they can pinpoint the bulls-eye(s) using all their knowledge gained....Ill be smiling just a little :)
Tullow has a very comprehensive procedural policy it follows in regard to exploration...with evidential high success rates to-date.
MT survey to commence once they have delineated the new seismic plan.
