We are ready to present the Epanko Project development plan to the Mining Commission for approval. A formal written request to meet with the commission (to present our project development plan) has been sent or is about to be sent and we should have a meeting within 2-3 weeks of the request being received. KfW will accompany Kibaran to that meeting.

The main reason we’re following the Mining Commission and the re-commencement of the issuance of mining licences is (at least IMO) because the market just wants to see some sign that the wheels are once again turning in Tanzania and that foreign investment and development of mining projects in Tanzania is welcomed by the Government.
