When drilling, the rig is fully manned,
For safety reasons a vessel or two must be on standby .
Rig personal safety , fire,and helicopter safety.
Apart from supply work
One would deduct that they are drilling as if you look at the track of the MF it is very tight on location.
My guesswork only, but in a previous life I have been involved with support boats .
