The is an oil price war out there at the moment and the key players are ones from the middle east, Russia and America. The American surge in production is from the US shale production which are high cost multiple wells with short life cycles. Supply will fall as the wells are depleted and new ones will only start up if the oil price rises above the cost of production. So the oil price will probably swing up as supply from shale falls then down again as supply surges up again in response to that price rise. In the meantime TAP's field has a long 15 year production life so I agree there is bound to be decent upside as the shale production falls away.
