A few observations of recent and current trading.

1. A buyer for about 7m shares at 1c ($70,000 stake) has this morning come into the market. This indicates a possible commencement of acquisition given that a there are two other methods used to acquire a sizeable stake in an emerging company like STI (one being the obvious share purchase from new issues, the other being off screen opportune buying, which may have been occurring also).
2.Total market depth has been fluctuating of course but the total buy volume at 137m is about 15m higher than recent days and the total sell volume is about 80m which is about 5m less than recent volumes.
3. Volume on the 31st Aug, just 3 trading days ago, at about 18m shares is only 11m more than what has traded in 1 hour this morning.
4. If buy volume increases by about 10% and the sell volume remains relatively static, a move into 1.1c is on the cards. If the total market sell volume then starts a decrease in the vicinity of 10m shares to 20m shares, acquisition could intensify if that's what's happening.

Plenty of variables of course, but these are just a couple of observations.
My short term target is still 9c.
Acquisition of a substantial holding more than an announcement is the more likely trigger of a revalue of STI's market cap'.
A rapid move through the 40m shares to 1.4c could indicate the beginning of a more obvious significant acquisition happening. At 100m shares, it becomes much clearer.
Although this current large buyer is on screen, I expect the acquisition is more likely to occur from off screen. As I type, the top buy level has increased to 8.4m which is a good sign, being greater than the corresponding total sell vol.
