We must compare like with like though so any comparable would be recent. This, in turn, would reflect any strength/weaknesses between stocks on this market. A figure that indicated a high p/e ratio, 2,3,4 years ago, or more, is irrelevant today thus, in my view, is misleading and quite simply, wrong.
