Was talking to a good mate of mine last night about this sort of nonsense what's going on here. It's also one of the reasons I've embraced Twitter of recent years. The ability to filter noise. While there is always signal in the noise, some noise can be detrimental to our thought processes if it becomes to loud.

I rarely block people in Twitter unless they are some sort of science denying pseudo religious fascists, aka greenies. There are two from #mintwit I blocked who both were being unreasonably abusive & negative towards people. Especially after the hate they directed towards both koala & respeculator. The continual abuse towards Paul Flynn is also unreasonably unhinged... half a dozen times and once a month after that is in good form, but, a continual torrent every five minutes is not.

Being negative is fine. Being negative & blaming others is not fine. We are all responsible for our own actions and shouldn't blame others when we're the ones who frack up, because, no one makes us do stupid shit only we can make ourselves do stupid shit. The few I blocked constantly blame others instead of taking responsibility. I don't want to have their negativity spread in my feed to the point that I want to reduce other people who have been influenced by him in my feed.

Sure they can be amusing and insightful, but, the toxicity isn't worth it. The signal in their noise simply wasn't worth it.
