I rotated WHC to YAL on 11 Oct as I thought YAL quarterly would be good (YAL was 98c < WHC price for trades). Big tick.
Rotated back YAL to WHC (YAL was 8c > WHC price for trades) today thinking WHC has been oversold expecting a really bad quarterly. So net $1.06 profit per share (less trading costs).
Back to same position on shareholding but circa $1 cash in bank for each share traded. Only did it with 50% of shares - my trading parcel.
Fingers crossed that WHC quarterly is not as bad as expected. If WHC tanks then I will put in fresh money hoping for short term bounce back.
I know others use covered calls and other option strategies, but this approach is pretty simple for all to understand and achieve. Options trading usually requires completing a sophisticated investor form or otherwise demonstrating financial competence. Fortunately I have a PhD in geostatistics so can follow the maths and understand the risk, but not all can.
