The real questions: does the quality change fast or slow as the 500 series are harvested. Rank decreases westward so the 500 panels have a massive rank gradient across them. However it was expected that the high vol HCC product would be able to maintained in the 500s, potentially some SSCC from the western ends. where does the quality change, LW502 or LW510 May start getting to SSCC quality at the western ends of the panels, but its more of a gradual change. exactly how much Primary A product is there? Product A is the current high vol HCC product, while product C is the secondary thermal that is consistently produced from the middlings. What is the specific energy of Product B... is it that crappy a thermal product that you can't even tell us? Product B is the SSCC that they are aiming to produce at the higher ash. CV is only relevant for Product C. Does that Product B have any CSR or does it turn to dust in the coke ovens. Product B is a SSCC and CSR will be pretty low, not really a marketing attribute by this stage. The vitrinite content listed in the table is incorrect, will probably be in the 60s, this is a typo.
Plenty of other serious questions need to be asked about Kestrel, there's plenty of rumours around the basin that it's a car with blown rings being hidden by some sort of thick oil. I think its fairly well known of the rank decrease and the move to SSCC longer term but its superior to the standard Hunter Valley specification, guess it depends on the acquirers view is on lower value coking products long term.
