According to google, the global consumption of coking coal in 2023 was 1.1 billion tonnes. I don't know if 6m tonnes of domestic supply in Ukraine will be much of a muchness. I could be wrong, but with a slowing chinese economy and sticky inflation in many parts of the world, this 0.06% supply drop wont do much for coking coal prices. Could be proved wrong, but saw the same thing happen mid last year with the QLD mine fire. Quick reaction, which almost just as quickly dropped off.
