Hags, where I come from I have seen weather systens dump 40mm of rain in one location and in another location 50kms radius from that location have no rain.
I have video camera in one location (holiday home) where remotely I can see physical rain (belting down) I have a weather station at both locations and one video camera at holiday home..
Looking at a 128,256km views of weather on the satellite will show rain everywhere but when you look closer (64km and sometimes even 128km) it shows up as white rather than yellow, green and red. Do the exercise yourself.,
