The Climate Council are soliciting public comment in opposition to Narrabri Stage 3 here, in light of the high court decision requiring the minister to re-consider previously granted environmental approval of projects with regard to their climate effects.

As discussed here previously on multiple occasions, being a brownfield development with existing rail access, producing high quality NEWC 6000 grade coal, Narrabri Stage 3 is actually a net saving in terms of carbon emissions compared with the crud that is going to be coming out of Indonesia, China etc to replace our coal if the greenies succeed in shutting the industry down.

Submissions for Narrabri Stage 3 close in 4 days - I urge everyone in favour of Narrabri Stage 3 to go and write a comment in favour of approval on this basis, to try and balance out the undoubtedly negative public comments this is going to receive.
