It will if there was a some sort of windfall profits tax or if we are required to reserve 10 percent or so production for domestic use at a made up price say 80 dollars a tonne. But agree other produces that serve more of the domestic market will be harder hit What is baffling is how government jumps to tax the productive part of the economy . We are making money creating jobs paying royalties, they should be helping us with subsidies/ loans not taxing the crap out of us. People with white collar jobs and the government apparently doesn’t know who pays the bills. How would our Economy look atm if it wasn’t for all the coal royalties they got this year.
