The other thing that reporting hasn't mentioned is that gas prices in Europe are still significantly higher than they have ever been. That is, European natural gas prices were:
- December 2019 - US $4.6 / MMBtu
- December 2020 - US $5.9 / MMBtu
- December 2021 - US $38.03 / MMBtu
- November 2022 - US $35.72 / MMBtu
Prices got as high as US $70 / MMBtu in August
US Natural Gas Prices (NYMEX) have fallen much more significantly, but again, are significantly higher than their average over the last 10 years.
