I agree. It is also worth mentioning that by 2030 the renewables that have been installed to supply the grid will either need replacing or will have aged to a point where constant maintenance is necessary to prolong their usable life. Will there be government subsidies to fund replacement of millions of solar panels? Not to mention the recycling and disposal logistical nightmare that goes along with this. It is not a cheap process. Ironically, to service and maintain wind turbines you need to stop the wind from blowing.

By 2030 we can effectively count the 36% or so of grid power supplied by renewables as severely diminished. We can also see that these energy capital adventures have led the collective west to a point of severe economic weakness. The renewable escapade has weakened every nation where it has been adopted as the default religion. A type of sun and wind worship. I see the massive government subsidies to the sector over the last few decades as having undermined the national security focus of leading industrial nations. That is reflected in the collective wests inability to send Ukraine any meaningful quantity of military equipment.

If supporting the green movement means that down the line you will need to subsidise coal power plants to keep them running, then what's the point?
