Not financial advice for anyone but just thought a bit of storytime on how I managed my multi 7 figure afterpay position, might interest the many newly paper rich WHC crew:

1. I waited until the gain was life altering.
2. I sold just enough to be 50% free carry and held the rest to manage my risk.
3. When it had gone multiples higher, I sold a tiny bit more to be free carry on more than 35,000 apt shares.
4. I held my balls and my nerves tightly as it went from $9-$160 and back to $100 and finally sold when there was not much juice left in the orange thesis wise, on Blocks takeover for $125 and change.
5 this was very important, I decided the thesis had played out and wasn't influenced by the many "Afterpay is dead" headlines, similar to "coal is dead". This helped me capture as much as I could of the upside after tax in my bank account.
6. this approach let me sleep at night and also not paper hand too early. free carry shares help you hold the rest more tightly.

If you are someone who bought below $2 you probably have percentage gains similar to most of my Afterpay adventure and similar "more money more problems" problems.

BTW it wasn't luck that I sold into a takeover, i predicted it when the share price was the equivalent of WHC at 80 cents or so.
